My version of Lightroom seems to have developed a very strange glitch when I first import images and start to work on them in the develop module - they turn black and white! What is odd is that not all the images do it and not always immediately. Some will turn black and white in random fashion soon after being imported, some will turn black and white in front of my eyes as I work on an adjacent image and some don't turn black and white at all. The obvious source of the problem is an import setting, but I can't find anything which would do this. I'm sure its a bug of some kind. Has anyone else had this problem, or similar?

I've not had this thank goodness - which version?

Not accidentally set a default import action and they change as it renders them?

No idea if mono can be set that way mind :)

you could set a mono this way if you had it set to apply presets on import - but I though import actions were applied before rendering?

I know it sounds daft but you've not done something like leave a pen on its tablet and its causing random mouse clicks? - not that I've ever done anything like that

It's the latest version 2.6. It's only started to happen recently, though I don't actually believe it started to happen immediately after the last upgrade.

Don't think so. It does seem like the obvious answer, but I certainly can't find it if it is.

No, thankfully. I haven't changed my working habits either. I'm dead confused..

I've not seen that on LR2.6 either, are you using PC or Mac? Have you consulted Adobe?

No, but I was reckoning that if no one on TP had come across it, then a trawl through Adobe's website and forums would be the next step.

Not sure if this is what's causing it but click on File, then Auto Import, then Auto Import Settings and look near the bottom at the develop settings.

Thanks, but I did check that. The develop settings are set to "none" - so I still can't figure this out.
