Lightroom folder problem

Hi all.

Without realising I have copied three different shoots into the same folder and have begun working on them all in LR3.

I obviously want to have them in their own folder.

What is the best way of doing this, one is many hundred photos from a wedding so am scared of losing the many hours of PP'ing I've done.

If I move them out into individual folders I'm aware that the link to them within LR will be broken, do I then just simply redirect the path and all edits will have moved too?

Create the folders you need.
Move the images to the correct folders within Lightroom.
This will also move them on the hard disk so there is no danger of Lightroom not knowing where they are.

Yep. You can even create the new folders from within Lightroom if you like. Or you could move them manually on the computer and then click 'find file' (little question mark that will appear on the thumbnails) in Lightroom and it will link everything back up automatically.

Hi,

Just doing the move, it has come up with a warning which I believe to b typical.

'This will cause the corresponding files on disk to be moved, If you proceed, neither this move or any change you've made prior to this can be undone'

I'm assuming this will not lose the PP have done on all the photos? I know it almost certainly wont but wanting to be extra sure.
