Lightroom folder options

When ever I load images from my camera to the iMac they get stored in a back up folder within the correct year. Trouble is if i take say 30 images over a period of 3 weeks i end up with loads of folders with a few images in each. The folders are names for the dates the images were taken. Is there a way of putting images in by month rather than days so i end up with all images taken in feb to be in a Feb folder?

Looks as though you are importing images by date. Switch to the "In one Folder option. You can name that Folder February or whatever and import the images into that. Change the name when the Month changes

Year/Month/Date

The just view the Month folder within the LR library (it's what do)

It would be nice to see the ability to create a custom folder scheme in LR3 to allow import to folders by Year/Month alone though.
