Lightroom flickr preset stripper.

Blimey it's a bit of a tongue twister but anyway somebody has come up with a preset stripper for online images, somehow it figures out what preset you used on a flickr posted image (from the exif I think) and saves it out.
Not sure what to make of this idea.

Why you'd want to use it I don't know... Sort of takes the creativity out of processing your images...

There was a lot of debate about this on the Lightroom killer tips blog a while back. I'm certainly in the camp that presets are there to make your life quicker not to just download someone else's and copy their style.

Yes I do use a few downloaded ones occasionally but mostly it's ones I have made myself to speed up jobs I do often. I can't see me trolling flickr looking for nice presets to be honest, I have a life.

I think it can be quite helpful to find out what kind of presets people use. I'm sure some people would 'steal' them and use them on everything with no modifications but I imagine the majority of people would use them as a starting point and further develop their photo's from there. For beginners it can all be a little bit daunting
