Lightroom editing problem

Everytime I make an edit in LR2 changes it automatically back (all settings in develop module)- I think I did select a whole group of photos to make an en mass sharpen change- which is when this issue started. What have I done pls??? :shrug:

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem, is it resetting all the photos back to the default? or only some.
If you take the saturation right down to black and white on a batch of say 10 pics what exactly happens?
