I'd like to know how I could save a 1:1 crop in Lightroom?

More specifically, a crop at 1:1, then a specific pixel width/height?

If it can't be done in Lightroom, then I have CS2 as well, can I do it in that?

Crop the image using the crop tool and export at 100%, job done.

But in LR when you select crop it goes back to the 'fit' magnification, and when you are using the crop tool there is no indication of how many pixels you are covering, etc.

You will need to crop using a 1:1 ratio with the cropping tool then export to the size you want. At least that is how I would tackle it.

Don't think you can use the crop tool in 1:1 zoom HUN

If you need it to be a specific size then use CS2, when you start the crop tool you can set the size/ratio in the settings panel at the top.

OK, I'll have a play in CS2, for now I will just do a rough crop using the gridlines in LR and then mag back up to 100%.

There is a number of pre-set ratios and an ability to add your custom ones. After you crop you go to a "fit" magnification but if you click again on the crop tool you see the whole image. Am I missing something else here?

Clicking on the Navigator preview window whilst in crop mode will zoom in on the crop area only but not outside it.

I think the OPs means 1:1 as in zoom, not aspect ratio...

You can specify the pixel dimensions of the image at the export stage, but I suspect what you want to do is crop at a specific pixel size,in which case I think it's a CS2 job
