Lightroom Classic update - what does mean for normal people

Just been alerted to this to Chris ,mines lightning fast now can’t see this benefitting me but with any updates there# always hidden goodies ,allegedly

Looking forward to this - I may only have 16gb of RAM and a quad core 2.5Ghz i7, but hopefully I also will see a difference!

however I wonder what it means for most amateurs with a semi normal machine
Apparently any speed increase will not be seen on most computers.

In Adobe's own words:

In this upcoming Lightroom Classic 7.2 release, we were able to make significant strides with our partners at Intel on addressing key performance issues. We have optimized CPU and memory usage so that performance will scale better across multiple cores on computers with at least 12 GB of RAM.

Don’t think it’s been released yet ,this is a planned release ?

I wonder what percentage of users will see much benefit, would have been more interested to see results from a more consumer level computer rather than an iMac that costs £5 1/2k

Not sure I'll see much difference with my PC build - it flies anyway. I have just updated to 6.14 :D I'll see what extra features 7.0 brings

They’ve updated it with a more real world test using a 2015 quad core MacBook Pro and it seems as though the import speed has improved quite a bit
