Just wondering if anyone has noticed LC being slower since the update? when in develop and zoomed into 100% moving the photo around is not at all smooth now and really annoying me.

Not noticed anything, mine seems a bit quicker to start up, 19 secs from mouse click to photo open in develop and <2 secs from library to develop ( both with Fuji RAF files).
Doing what you are doing is very smooth.

4 secs from mouse click to start up and open in develop with the new M1 version

I never use Lightroom Classic anymore, the newer version (just called Lightroom) is just better in every way for me. An interface that doesn't look like it's from the mid-90s and the performance difference is between it and clunky old Classic is massive. Only time I ever open Classic now is to allow it to sync my photos down from the cloud and drop the Raw files on an external drive as an additional backup, which it does automatically.

What are you running it on?

Normally I use my Mac but that is being backed up awaiting arrival of new one so at the moment using a PC for a few weeks.

Spec is:

Ryzen 9 3950X, 2080Ti, 64GB RAM, 4TB M.2 drives etc.

It's not so much the starting up, but specifically when zoomed in on develop module and moving around, it's just not smooth and feels delayed.

Just did some more testing, it's only in the Develop module when the panels are showing, If I put it in full screen mode and zoom in I can move the photo around smoothly.

Just a thought. If you go to Edit>Preferences and the Performance Tab, what value do you have for the Raw Cache setting. I use 80GB. When you Zoom in (unless you opted for 100% previews) it has to render a full sized preview. However, once you do this the preview is temporarily stored in the cache and I set a limit of 30 days. So if I come back to the image within 30 days the full sized preview will then be instantly available. Once I start editing an image, it is very rare that I will return after 30 days. I am not saying that this is the issue but it may be worth checking some of your settings givens that others do not seem to have the issue.

Thanks, it's presently set to 20GB

Further to above, I just tried it and I turned off "use graphics processor" in the preferences.

It now works fine but I don't understand why I need to turn it off as the graphics card is supported as far as I know.
