Lightroom CC - How to create your own profiles

I am and started following this thread just a few minutes after you posted it. Just haven't had time to watch the video yet. Thanks for the link though :)

No worries, I was just expecting a bit of conversation/debate on the matter as we all do some sort of post processing and many of us use LR / ACR.

I'm actually quite excited about it and when they first released this version with new profiles I immediately had a look to see how we could create our own but there was nothing out there other than a handful of photographers selling them. The fact we can now create our own is great.
 
It is an exciting development, the Adobe Profile SDK is well worth downloading too;

If you use a lot of presets the new XMP format is supported by ACR so you can now make them into a profile, so much more useful than a preset. I am in the process of going through all my favourite presets and creating profiles from them...
 
I looked into this a while ago (downloaded the SDK). I think it's a better option than using/creating presets as it is incorporated into the develop panel directly and has a built in opacity/amount adjustment.

I just don't use presets enough to mess with it...
