There is a new feature out in LR / LRC to help with image selection by using some clever (or not so...) machine learning.

It should become a very welcome feature,,,, but based on my initial testing... not quite there yet. They call it "early access"... and for a reason.

It got some images right, but some were just equally totally wrong. In particular it doesn't like shallow DOF portraits, images with fog, mist, etc. They can be incredibly sharp in the focus area and right on target but will get a very low score.
I am not quite sure how, but it also claims to see eyes open on subject with very dark sunglasses.

just verify and double check the suggestions it is throwing to you... you wouldn't want this to be a reason you deleted your best shot without even looking at it,

I never delete any image from my disks - even the worst of them may turn out to have some usefulness.

I do delete in stages 1st cull, 2nd cull etc as required but (like you?) keep many that have the 'is it worthwhile keeping for now' question mark.

I do a cull of images that are unsalvageable - missed focus, cars half out of shot etc. Couple of years later when managing my HDDs I go through again, but most I keep
