Hi Guys,

I have just had to do a massive cleaup of my Laptop as everything was all over the place there were files/duplicate files and no order and it was starting to slow it down and do my head in.

I use Lightroom as my general day-to-day photography tool to make a few adjustments/crop to photos and also as a general photography administrational tool.

I use Photoshop CS4 as my tool to fine tune my best work.

I use Bridge CS4 to find my pictures before opening them in photoshop and also when messing about between Dreamweaver and photoshop.

But here is what ****es me off...when i make changes in Lightroom...the changes don't ever show up in Bridge...which means all my work is a complete waste of time. I spose lightroom isn't actually changing the file.

Is there anyway of getting lightroom to talk to bridge so it can see what changes i have made to my files or do i have to make a big mess and re-export any images i have amended so when viewed in Bridge they appear how i see them in lightroom!

or shall i just forget about Lightroom and throw it in the bin for making a mess of everything.

Why not right click in lightroom and select edit in Photoshop ? LR will launch PS and load the file with the changes you made in LR automatically.

LR changes are stored in the DB until you export them which saves on disk space. It also means your original image data isn't changed in anyway.

As John says the changes to the file are saved as Metadata in the Lightroom database.

However if you want to see the changes you've made to the image in Bridge you need to "Save Metadata to File" . You'll find this under the PHOTO Menu, whilst in the develop module.

wicked. Thats sorted me out. 'Save metadata to file' is what i need!
