Lightroom Adjustment Brush Issue

I have an issue with the adjustment mask brush in lightroom 2.4. When I increase the size to above 6 the brush icon gets all corrupted / partly missing and it’s very difficult to see where I am painting.

I was working fine, it just started happening I have reset all the settings but it’s still the same.

Any ideas

That has happened to me before. In fact I think it still happens on my xp version, it was cured when I did a clean instal on windows 7. I know that isn't a lot of use, but your certainly aren't alone :) will watch this thread with interest for an answer.
 
Update your graphics driver to the latest version and i that doesn't work turn the graphics accelleration down one notch. there was an issue in Ps CS4 but I wasn't aware of the same in Lr.
 
Would it also be worth updating Lightroom to the latest version?
 
Yes the OP should run the update - 2.7 is the latest I think.
 
Tried the video driver but still the same, will have a go at the 2.7.
