Lightroom 4 won't import any of my files

Hi,

I have been using Lightroom 4 for about 4 weeks now with no problems importing files. I have the Canon 5D 3 and to start with I was converting the files to Dng and importing them from the hard disk, then when the 4.1 candidate was released I downloaded that and was able to Import straight into Lightroom.

As from yesterday I can not import anything into Lightroom at all. I have tried going back to converting to dng and importing from the hard drive, I then tried to import some jpegs still no and I have tried files from my 7D with different memory cards to rule out any conflict here but still nothing. I have un-installed and re-installed the program with no success, I just get a box saying "These files have not been imported because they cannot be read" but with no more explanation why.

There will be one file that lightroom can't read so it won't load any of them, hope you don't have many file's because when it happened to me, I imported one at a time, got to number 21 and bingo that was the file, removed the file and the rest loaded as they should, hope this helps.

was there anything in the file name that suggested that you had a rogue file? I have had this problem for some time now and periodically try and import a folder of CRN or Jpegs but get the same fail message. Because I have tried from folders on desktop and memory cards I don't think it is a rogue file issue. Could it be anything else?
