I used to have Lightroom crash every so often. It would say something like "Lightroom has encountered a problem accessing the preview cache and needs to close". It suggests that it would try to fix it when re-opening and that's what it used to do.
I have recently had this happen a lot more. It's happening usually three times during editing of a single set of images and the issue doesn't get fixed when re-opening. The only fix I can find online suggests to delete the preview cache but due to some weird security issues I can only do that in safe-mode. As you can tell this takes a long time.
I thought the issue was being caused by low disk space, but I just upgraded the drive to a bigger one and an SSD also but still get the problems.
I'm losing patience to tell the truth.
