Lightroom 3 Star Ratings Problem

Since upgrading to LR3 from 2, when going through a series of photos, if say I select 3* for a photo, and then go to select the same for the next photo, the 3* shows as selected, but actually isn't. So you click for 3* and it moves to the next image, but has 'deselected' (hopefully you follow what I mean).

If thought I select a photo as 3* and the next is 4*, it happily makes the change. Going back to the original problem, if I'd set an image as flagged to delete, it keeps that icon showing, but again it's not really selected. So thus when you go to select it genuinely, it's actually 'deselecting' and you move on.

It's not the end of the world, but it's not as seamless as it used to be - any ideas on this - have others experienced it?

there's an option under 'photo' to auto advance - try de-selecting that

Thanks, I'll look it out. I usually when rating use the filter set to unrated, which removes pics as they're rated - that should in theory solve my problem.

What if you use the keyboard? Just press '3'.
