Hi Guys,

i have posted this thread in "printing" section, but had no repluies, so i thought i might try it here...


So, i have finally bought my first printer, Canon MG5250. i have decided to print few pictures i had ready and i noticed that colours on prints when printing using Lightroom 3 are slightly different from these on my screen (new iMac 27"). Just to make things clear - i do not tick anything in "Print Job" section of lightroom. But when using Canon printing utilities the colours on prints are spot on. Anyone might know reason?

i really would like to stick with Lightroom only, as i'm used to it's workflow already.

I don't do much printing, and indeed I don't have a printer, :lol: but I saw an episode of DTownTV a few weeks ago that talks about setting the correct ICC profile for the printer you are using with Lightroom, or Photoshop. It's about 16min into the episode.

When did you last calibrate your monitor?

If you haven't got exact profiles for your printer/ink/paper combo are you at east using Canon Ink/Paper and selecting the correct paper type in the options?
