I there i have downloaded the 30 day trail of lightroom 3, the presets in develop do you have to download these are should they already be there?

Cheers Andrew i was thinking they should be there after watching a couple of videos but my trail copy does not seem to have them which is a bit of a bummer.
 
It must have surely. Except perhaps that is one of the limitations of the trial (notice I said trial, and not trail!) ;)
 
so far as I know the trial is the complate programme - if you go to the develop module (D) on the keyboard you should see them in the left hand panel. Is the LH panel showing?
 
yes the left hand is showing and the title presets is there but no contents, janice i am sorry trial
 
open Lightroom - go to Edit - preferences - 2nd tab along the top - PRESETS - click on show Lightroom Presets folder - anything there?

There should be the default ones in there, the palettes collapse if you click on them, try clicking on the word preset. You can also download tons of them free off the net.
