Lightroom 3 Beta Frustration

I am trying LR 3 Beta but am very close to jacking it in and going back to LR2.

I keep having problems where it will just hang while doing something. For example when I hit ctrl+E to edit in PS it comes up with the preparing file for editing message and the status bar appears but nothing happens. I then close and restart LR and a new file has been made but it has very strange colours.

Same thing with deleting images. I hit delete from disk and nothing happens. When I have restarted LR they have gone.

Anyone else have similar issues? I pretty certain I will go back to LR2 as I get so annoyed with this. :gag:

:agree: ha lotso holes but I gues most will be sorted before general release.


plus my other bugbear is the seemingly worse import process. LR2 was soo easy.

Beta programs have lots of error tracking code included which does tend to slow things down. But then it is a Beta so it may have some bugs

If you are having problems please report them on the Adobe web site. That's why its a public Beta so that Adobe can get feed back, both good and bad. They do listen. I put a small feature request in after LR2 and it's in LR3. ( Probably not just me but I was the thread starter).
 
^ What they said, the advice from Adobe was always not to use it as your main application, but to test features and let them know about any bugs you encounter.
 
If you get frustrated using a beta don't try them.:)

You are the free end user test dept. and Adobe expect problems and for you or the software to document them.
