Could someone please help? :help:

I would like to covert 100+ images to B&W using lightroom 2. Is there a way I can do it without converting each one individually?

Are all the images fairly similar?

If so, convert one to a point where you are happy with it, then right click on the image in develop mode and select Develop Settings>Copy Settings, then select all the ones you want to apply it to, then right click, Develop Settings>Paste Settings. Sync Settings.

if you do copy and paste settings it will only apply to one at a time, for multiple images do copy and sync settings, then it will go to everything

:D Good spot! Always do that then remember when wondering why not all of them sync!

Cheers matey :)

Select all
Make virtual copies
Convert first one
Sync settings to virtual copies
Export

Or, if you're using a preset (my preferred method)

Select all
Make virtual copies (you now have all virtual copies selected, not the originals)
Apply preset
Export

To be honest though Paul, all of these methods are fairly 'blunt object' like; unless all of your images were shot in exactly the same lighting conditions and subject, you will probably want to look at converting each shot individually anyways to control the way it looks ie one preset black and white conversion may suit one picture but may leave another looking poor, unless they are very similar.

If you have auto sync chosen it will automatically convert all the selected one as you ajust one image.

Thank you for all the replies - you have all been a big help
