Have started snapping in a local night club and have used lightroom 2 to export the photos with a watermark using the 'slide show' mode.

However when I do this the images look really washed out instead the edited form of the pictures

Eg

Minted-04.jpg

This looks nothing like the original does on LR

** Noticed that if I open the file in preview (mac) the colors look correct, but washed out when on photobucket

Please help, these pics will get me sacked!!

Ollie, can you post an outputted image that isn't included in a slideshow (i.e. just export the image when you're in LIBRARY)?

TBH, going by that image, it doesn't look washed out; saturation is fine, as is contrast. But would like to see how it compares to your edits....

Noticed that this happens in chrome, but not in safari

Both images look the same when viewed on chrome, compared to when viewing on lightroom.

Is this to do with how the color or corrections I am making are stored and expressed by the different browsers?

Club wanted very vivid colors for their screens :(

It's because ones colour managed and the other isn't, some browsers will "see" the colour managment like photoshop or lightroom, some browsers are not managed and can't "see" it.

To make sure everything works for your exported images in all browsers they need to be 8-bit sRGB. You can set the colour space in the export dialog, but in the slideshow and web modules the colour space is fixed to this setting.

If you are using the slideshow "export JPEG" option you shouldn't see any difference between browsers.
