hi, i'm new on here. i've searched but i'm looking for a 'how to' for lightpainting, could anybody please point me in the right direction?

lol, made me think of rhod gilbert and the torch with the power of a million candles :)
 
what are you thinking about light painting
do you mean using ie a torch to light up a subject or say some one
that uses led's to paint drawing's orb's etc
like when you a kid some one spins a spakler in front of you and you see a picture

I just opened the shutter for 30 seconds and shone a torch onto the wood.
 
This was my first attempt when I got my first DSLR a few weeks ago on my unsuspecting girlfriend :p

Thanks, I was rather pleased with myself :thumbs: I think from reading your thread and later comments after my post you are looking at light painting cars and stuff, in which case I would suggest checking out Andrew's work, (AndWhyNot) a very tallented member that is truly brilliant at automotive light painting
