Lighting the edge of a glass against black bg

I want to put the wine glass against a black background and only have the outer edges lit as a highlight of the shape. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Sorry to ask but my flash bible is packed in a removals box!!

Just rimlight it, with a light each side and a little behind. Standard reflectors with honeycombs usually do it well

Use black card

 

[webbEvents]

Use a large softbox with a strip of black card centraly against the front screen. Leave room for light to escape at the sides. Put glass/bottle in front of black card, use reflectors to bounce light back if needed. Photoshop as required to fill remaining black. As done here:
