Hi everyone, Im new to the sight, Im a bit of a wildlife artists:shrug: I would welcome any help and advice about lighting and photographing my paintings, I want to photograph them as true to the original as pos... I am using a digital slr.... its a cannon eos 400D.... I have no lighting equipment but when I find out what I require, I will be buying.... thank you in advance.... oh you will have to talk like you are talking to an idiot:bonk:, I am new to photography... cheers, Paul

It isn't a difficult subject, you just need one light each side, each at an angle of 45 deg. and the lights need to be softboxes powered by flash.

If you're photographing oil paintings then you may also need a polarising filter on your camera lens, to reduce the reflections from the brush strokes.
The Lencarta SmartFlash 200 twin softbox kit is all you need.
