Hey guys. I feel stuff on YouTube and i recently bought a Canon 550D to upgrade my picture quality when filming.

But ive found out the lighting in my room is horrid and need some cheap good lighting so my videos are bright and clear.

I really dont have much to spend. Any ideas?

Ive heard the 500w work lights are not too bad for lighting the room up.

Thanks for the help

Nick

How much can you muster?? Led video lights seem to be the norm but any light will do I suppose just depends really on what effect you want to achieve?!?!

500w floodlights sure are cheap, but they get very hot - it's basically a 450w heater.

just for stuff for youtube, get a few desk lights or clip lights and bounce them off the wall.

Don't get an LED light unless you can gel it to be the same colour (ie slightly orange) as the rest of the lights in your room. Lots of people say good things about the z96 LED light on ebay.

some 250w work lights and a 60" umbrella do the trick when filming, a cheap 40 quid solution. they do get hot though.

It depends what you are filming and how much control you want. Remember to white balance though if you are using work lights.
