Sooo... If you don't have a flash gun, and really need that shot, what do you use?

The other night I had two lamps, the pop-up flash being diffused using a shower hat, and flashing from the right from a seperate 400D's pop-up flash being diffused by a tissue.

Can ya beat it?

Had the macro lens on and a full set of extension tubes. Only had the built in flash at the time. Which due to the length of the lens setup, no light got to the subject

Solution???

Wrap hand in tinfoil and hold it out above the subject in different positions to bounce some light in

Moblie phone, torches/lights can be very very useful too if you get stuck
