After a little advice please.
I've agreed to do some product shots for my work, and some will involve photos of plastic bottles. So I'm hoping someone can give some advice on how best to light them?

We have black and white backgrounds to use, and I have various strobes / speedlites and modifiers.

All advice gratefully accepted!

Can you be more specific/post examples?
What sort of shape, are the contents transparent, translucent, opaque?
Single shots, in groups?

Haven't got access to any examples at the moment Gary, but it will be single bottles of water, a standard 500ml bottle.

Still a bit vague...
The easiest solution is to photograph against white, and use the light reflected from or transmitted through the background to backlight the bottles.
Then a reflector or second light, at lower power, to light from the front, but at an angle.
Or of course you can underlight them, although this usually works best with coloured contents.

I'm Welsh BTW...

Thanks Garry. Apologies for misspelling.

Any one else offer any suggestions??

Have you already tried Garry's suggested approach and found it didn't work?

At least some examples of what you have produced so far, and how you want to improve them, may help with further offers of help.
