I'm just wondering if it would be possible to light a bridge / viaduct using speedlights? Not the whole thing, mainly under the arches. I just want to know if there would be enough power for something that large?

I have 3 strobes (Nikon Sb range) but just wondered if it's a crazy idea or not?

Thanks

I guess it is possible, if you up the ISO and lower the shutter speed to capture every bit of light it spills out...but it's not something I've ever tried

Try putting your camera on a tripod, setting a long exposure and walk around with your flash, popping it off at various points to light the bridge. This is a technique often covered in the photography magazines.

Thanks, I will give it a go this weekend I can certainly pop the flashes more than once in the exposure if required. I may take a torch to do a little painting to fill in the higher areas perhaps. Thanks
