Hey Peeps,

I've just purchased a 8*7 hilite & train. I'm aware I'm going to need 2 lights to light it, but What power would they need to be, I already Have 2 500 bowen lights and thinking that I could probably get away with 200w, but if they are going to be working flat out, would rather up it to 400/500

no - 200w should be nowhere near flat out. My 300w heads don't ever go behind 1/8 to light mine

Thank You, that will be easier to get past management :)

Just opted for a set of bowens 400w lights, thinking that I may have more options with a set than a 200 pair.

Use either of my Eli rx300 or the 600's...2 of each about half way up the Hilite and pointing towards the back of the hilite...ie into the back panel...sometimes need to adjust the angle to get as even a spread as possible..If you run them too low you inevitably get hot spots and darker areas...trial and error will help..

Thanks guys,

Going to get it set up this w-end ans have a good play, no doubt I'll be back looking for assistance ;)

300s yesterday were running between 1/8 and 1/4 power.

ISO 200 / f/11
