Hi All ,Names Terry 76 from Plymouth UK .This is my first time on your forums and would appreciate some help please if possible.Have made a DIY Lightbox for some indoor Macro type photography and i wish to light the box from the top with a everyday table lamp ,but at a loss to know what type and size bulb to use? I am not using any specalist equipment, just my trusty little Nikon L120 bridge camera on Macro [ and half zoom if possible] .This is just a Hobby and Enjoyment for me so if i get any replies could you keep it simple please as i am not as bright has i used to be,any help whatsoever would be much appreciated Thank you for your time and interest Regards Terry

Hi Terry and welcome to the forum - i just used a couple of desk lamps from ASDA with 100W spot lamps fitted - but you to be careful as they get VERY hot.

Hi Paul,Many Many thanks for your reply and advice and nice to know you are just over the border hi.I can see by your fantastic photos that you know what you are talking about Jean my wife was amazed at the sharpness and quality.I know i will not get anything like that with my set up[L120 Macro goes as close as 1Cm] but i have to start somewhere.and one day i might have the confidence to use my D40 with a proper lens for close up work Kindest Regards Terry My e-mail is tickoverterry@talktalk.net
