Hello fellow TP'ers :wave:

I have finally gotten myself a trigger now for my speedlight, so now i need to get myself a lightstand, bracket, and a modifier

Now for modifiers, i'm thinking shoot through brolly to start with? unless anybody has any better recommendations.

I obviously need the umbrella brackety thingy (forgot the name, the bit that mounts on the light stand and allows you to attach the umbrella) i dont want one thats going to fall apart after 5 uses!

and a good recommendation for a lightstand for use with a speedlight, i'd like it to have good portability, so fairly light, folds down quite small etc.

Links would be very much appreciated, or anything other that i may have missed :)

I got a lastolite umberella kit which comes with all you need and packs away neatly into the bag provided. It comes in a 80cm or 100 cm version.

It is probably not the cheapest option but is good quality, the stand risers are even air damped which I wasn't expecting.
 
PS Did you get the Canon radio trigger to go with your 600 EX RT?

Have you got a link to the kit you bought please? and yes i got the radio trigger :) not had a chance to use it in anger yet but had a quick play and its nice and easy to use, no running over to the speedlight to change the power (or stretching my arm back out as the case was :lol:) and you get a nice beep when the flash is ready to fire again :D

I've got a second 600 coming on monday rented so i can have a play with firing multiple at the same time :)

Edit: just found the kit on lastolites website but no prices? do you have to buy from a retailer rather than direct from lastolite? if so wheres the cheapest place to buy?
