Hi all,
Have been pottering around with the camera and stuff today and wondering to buy next and one was a light meter but then i thought is there an app??
And yes there is and its free.. I know some peeps may C&C but its free and ive tried it and i think it good for nothing!!

just thought i'd spread the info... just search for "light meter" and select pocket light meter..

Would love to see side by side against a light meter

I'd rather have a proper light meter or use the histogram and dial in using a few shots
 
Wow, that could save people a few bob if its any good. Take it it uses the i phones camera to gather the light, wont work for my touch?
 
I've had this app for a while, but I'm hesitant to put it to use before I can compare it with an actual light meter... I'd be interested to hear if anyone has made the comparison.

try comparing it to the incident meter in your camera if you meter from something grey they should be the same

That's a whole lot of cameras right there. It'd be handy for me and my pinhole Diana since it goes to f128.

Checking it against my DSLR makes a lot of sense, will report back when I get round to it.
 
Uhmmm I agree I'm a tad thick but wouldn't the best test be to quite simply take a picture based on what the app says? If the picture is too dark or too light then the app sucks, if the picture looks right then the app is worth it (nothing)?
