Hey, guys!

I found my dad’s old analogue camera - Zenit ET (with Helios 44-6 lens 52x0,75, 58mm1:2 lens) in a storage. I got really excited, however felt a bit unsecure with the settings I use as I can’t check immediately how the shot looks like… Hence I looked for an app to my Iphone and found “light meter” which shows the recommended parameters. Have any of you use anything similar? Does it work or is it better to get a real light meter?

P.S. Can’t wait to finish the film and to check the results! :)

I used 'Light Meter' on my iPhone recently for an old Rolleiflex I picked up. The results came back pretty good and I was pleased with them. I think overall it's probably better to get an actual light meter if you want accuracy especially in lower lit situations however it did the job for me :)

It depends how serious you want to get, the iPhone meters 'work', and colour print film has a massive latitude.

But if you want to shoot slide film or fine art B&W, get a proper meter.
