Hi

Leica Typ 240 MP user and I have a question about lighting when using the camera.

I am thinking a small led light supported via the tripod screw possibly extended to one side or under the lens.
Hot shoe is out as I may need that with the evf, so looking to see what other options there are, prefereably at a reasonable price (say max 100 more like 50euros) ?

I will be attending a wedding as a guest, and I know it will be dimly lit at the recption as most are and I am pretty sure the camera will need a little help. Hence a led light, may be softened to direct forwards...

I dont use or like flash units much, so I dont really want to spend a load. But I may need something to assist macro shots (105mm macro nikkor lens) so if I can get something for that too... :)

Doubt there is anything, but perhaps a few different suggestions I can go look online at :)

I would suggest browsing e.bay for a film era flash gun support arm / extender that will attach via you tripod mount screw . There are several types available ...
Then simply buy a l.e.d bank of lights there are some with variable light intensity . If you research it properly the whole lot should be sub £50

You need to stop thinking about adding light for exposure purposes and remember that light is what makes your pictures attractive.

Lighting a human from underneath is commonly called 'horror lighting'.

As above an old school flash bracket will put a light in a better place, but further away from the camera would be even better (I often hand hold a flash for weddings and events)
