Hi All
Recently I bought x2 identical memory cards. They are compact flash cards - Lexar Professional 32GB UDMA 7 1066X.
I am using them with either a Canon 5dMk2 or Canon 7D.
In the camera, both cards respond brilliantly. My workflow is always the same - insert card, format in camera, take photos. This works seamlessly and I am able to review photos on the camera's LCD screen without issue.
The issue arises when I come to transfer images to my computer. I am using x2 macs - one a 2014 imac and the other an M1 airbook.
With the 'working card' the images transfer without issue, however, with the 'other' (identical) card, both machines say that they do not recognise the card and need to initialise the disk. When I have tried this, it opens Disk Utility. I have ran first aid in disk utility and then tried to erase, but it seems to get stuck when looking at the partition. This occurs on both macs.
The weird thing is, both cards seem fine in the camera and then the 'dodgy' card seems to read and respond fine with my wife's Chromebook !!!
Please does anyone have any suggestions as it's driving me mad!
many thanks in advance
Ant.
