Evening all

Just a quick one

Say your shooting at a pitch that runs well off, which way do you level the shots?

The building here is level which is the way I went

Which way would you go with it? level the building or level the barrier

Use the white post, if you straighten the barrier that post would look well off. So looking at the shot you've done it spot on. IMO

In answer to your question it would depend if there were stong horizontal or verticials in the shot. Shot posted has a strong roof line and the white post to use so you can "square up" on those

At last, people listen, its not and never has been about the horizontals, always the verticals as horizontals change depending on the angle their shot at, verticals are always vertical.

Cheers guys

Gary, the location I was yesterday the goal posts aren't "level" either ad the pitch slopes away by maybe 15-20 feet from end to end and side to side

Dont get me on about wonky posts  accepted that the goalposts arent always going to be level but there are other reference points to look for, uprights in the stands, walls of changing rooms, posts for chain link fences etc, etc

 I know what you mean, I had several reference points yesterday, the roof on the changing rooms (in shot) the wall in the main stand and the roof on the other stand to work from yesterday

Glad I came across this.
