I think that the problem is that you originally opened the file in WORD by clicking on the exe file, and so probably corrupted the file. You later changed the extension from doc to exe but now the file had already been corrupted when you opened it in WORD. You will need to redownload, and then do not click on it to open. Change the extension immediately to exe, and then double click the file to run it.

I don't think thats the problem TBH
I have the original file saved as an attachment not opened that at all, just "save as" or "save all" After each failiure I just re save the file and change that one
If I try and "save as" .exe I get " the command failed to execute"
So I save as a .doc and then rename to .exe Thats the only way that I can

Opps double post

Just check that the file that you are trying to change the extension on does not have the attribute "read only". Right click the file, choose properties and uncheck the read only box. This is all that I can think off that can cause the problem. If it is read only it will not let you change the extension. Saving in Word will definately not work, as this will corrupt an exe file and make it unreadable.

Thats not the problem thanks anyway

Update
Talk about pulling teeth ( as said before) you would have thought this so easy wouldn't you
Sandisk sent me 3 address's and phone numbers to contact. It seems that you have to go back to the distributors for "warrenty issues" :bang:
The first one I called said yes they would replace it at a cost of £10 (handling charge)
but they gave me another number
( already on the list) that "dealt" with play.com.
As I said previously it was one of two cards and I can't remember where I bought it from but just said "play" anyway.
I recieved an email withing 5 mins with return instuctions :woot:so its in the post and a predicted return date is 2 weeks I will let you know how it goes.
So It looks as though they do honour their warrenties :rules: but what a faff to get there :bang:

Forward the email to me, and I'll extract it and have a look at the software for you :)

I had a card go down about 18 months ago. I had bought it from Warehouse Express. Rang then , told them the story, returned card , got replacement. took 3 days. No hassle.
