Yes
i've got a Fuji S5600 with a fixed lens but i have seen you can by fisheye, wide angle and macro lenses which screw into the end of the camera, are these any good and worth the money?

if so is there any particular make i should go for? do Fuji make them aswell?

i currently dont have any extra's for the camera, so would i need any adaptors or anything aswell.

thanks.

I used to have the 5500 and I remember people saying the olympus tcon was a better tele lens than the fuji version. Bit rushed now, but will come back later with more gen.

Olympus Tcon 17 is excellent I'm told.
Was gonna get one for my 5600 but bought DSLR instead.
Might still buy one one day :)

1.7x tele zoom without changing the aperture

Yes go for the TCon.1.7 and also for closeup work/macros try the Raynox 250 and raynox 150. they clip onto the front of your lens with a squeezy spring clip so I still use them on my dslr. I think jessops do the raynox ones.

Hi, I've got an S7000 which I think is a similar design. I bought a cheapy wide-angle lens and adaptor for it off Ebay and it was rubbish! Yes, it WAS wide angled, but the vignetting spoiled it. By the time you zoomed out of the vignetting, you were back to 'x1'! So I sold it on and bought the proper Fuji x0.85 wide angle which is BRILLIANT! Wll worth it. I do a lot of camper van/caravan interior shots and it was invaluable for getting in those few extra centimetres.

So the moral is, as ever, go for the decent lens! :D

it was invaluable for getting in those few extra centimetres.
I must get one then! ;)

well i bought an up close lens kit off ebay as it was fairly cheap so thought i would try it and i am very impressed, as the wide angle lenses seem to be a tad more expensive i think i will get the proper Fuji one for that.

will post up some pics with these macro lenses i have got.
