Hi,

I'm just wondering, does anyone recommend this product:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenspen-L...a_Cleaning_Equipment_Kits&hash=item2572e8b3b2

It's called the LensPen, not sure if anyone has heard of it? Only I ordered one and used it and it did manage to get rid of the finger prints, marks etc from the lens glass but I'm just wondering if it can do any harm using it such as scratch the coating etc?

Sorry it's a basic question just want to be sure as lenses are expensive.

Many thanks,
- John.

Lots of us use them....

just make sure you get any grit / dust off first before you use the charcoal end...

As Martin says, lots of togs use them. I usually use a brush first to get rid of the dust particles then give it a good going over with the lenspen followed by a wipe with a lens cleaning cloth. I'm really careful about getting fingerprints on my lenses but a lenspen clears they easily.

If it doesn't shift stuff on the lens first time, breathe on the lens to mist it up and try again. Never fails for me.

I use a cheap one like in your link and it works great! I don't know how they copare to the branded lenspens but it works.

i find these great apart from the loose sliding brush but its easy just to hold it

never had any problems
i dont see why the branded ones cost so much
