Hi, i am just getting used to using my canon 550d , i have a few various lenses but i would like a good quality lens for photographing wild birds close up. Any advice is welcome

Realistically, you haven't got a chance of getting anything suitable for as little as that.
You'll rarely get close enough to wild birds to get any decent shots with something like a 70-300 which is about all £300 would get you, I'm finding most of the time even 500mm is too short!
Up your budget to around £500 and you'd get a used Sigma 150-500. ;)

I have a canon 75-300, a canon 28-80,a canon 50mm and a canon 18-55mm

A longer zoom, you're talking £500+ used

Options are sigma 50-500mm f4.5-6.3, sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3, canon 400mm f5.6, canon 300mm f4 + 1.4x TC, sigma 100-300mm f4 + 1.4x TC, 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 or sigma 120-400mm f4.5-5.6

But you need £500-600+

A TC and your 75-300mm is definitely NOT and option, it would be dreadful.

I better up my budget by the advice i have recieved. Any other options
