Hello again oh wise ones, I is in a pickle been looking for a new lens for my G10 should I get the 45-200mm or the 100-300mm, what other accessories should I have, do I need to get a spare battery?? Do I need a flash??, what type of bag should I get??, the only purchase I've made so far is a 16GB class 6 memory card and some macro filters. Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you dont already have a bag what protects your camera when your out and about ? If the answer is nothing then thats your first purchase right there. Yes batteries and flashguns are great obvious extras and lenses for sure but if your gear is knocking around unprotected then address that first. Probably the least expensive buy as well. Allow room for future purchases. Check out the classifieds here and you will get some great bargains in bags no need to buy new.

Thanks for the info, I've ordered a lowepro slingshot 100 off eBay, I'm in the process of saving up my overtime cash to buy a 45-200mm for my holidays to gran canaria in August, this forum is fueling my passion to take pictures, thanks to one and all.
