Lenses for D3200 with built in AF motor.

Hi, i am very new to this and would like to know if a non Vc Tamron 17-50 F2.8 has a built in AF motor so it can be used on a Nikon D3200?

How does one find out if a lens has a built in AF motor?

i don't think the Tamron would auto focus on D3200.

The current version will work just fine. It has it's own focussing motor. Somebody much cleverer than me will hopefully come along and tell you which one to look for.

Nice site, good for compatability, but the sliders going green and red on things like focal length and weight is a bit off - surely that is all subjective.

Incorrect unfortunately. The lens will focus fine on a 3200.

thank you very much. i stand corrected. looks like that lenshero site isn't as reliable as i thought. :thumbsdown:

neither of Nikon F mount Tamron 17-55 lenses are said to have AF motor on lenshero.
