I don't think this is a wind-up but a short article I've just read about wedding/portrait tog Crash Taylor (website here) mentions that he carries a Lenser P7 LED torch link with him at all times for fill light purposes.

Does anyone do this or have tried it, not sure I'd have the balls to use it when shooting people but it could be useful sometimes I guess!
 
Welll, it does come with a holster, lanyard AND a carabiner!
 
I have the sleeker non focusable V2 pro Lenser and by *&^% it's bright :eek:, i'm not surprised he can use it for fill light.

Well, only 1 image in his opening slideshow is colour, and that looks like it has had the colour manipulated - they are all crakers though
 
Well I have the Police version, but the P7 is even brighter than that, so I can see it would make a big difference as it's VERY bright! ;)

Little investigation shows that LEd is 5400 so not that far off daylight, I may be wrong

yep, not had time to try it with people yet but a few test shots with some flowers and I found the same thing - WB set to direct sunlight and it looks good!

this was me messing about with 6 sec exposure in the dark with the torch on its lowest setting, just the WB tweaked a little in NX2. Taken with the wifes tamron 28-300 at 155mm, not the best but you get the idea!
