Hi all

ive gone into the mirrorless world, just bought a second hand Sony A6000 with 16-50mm OSS lens

i was using the canon 750D DSLR and had the 50MM F1.8 nifty 50 lens which i loved.

Can someone point me in the right direction for a lens adaptor so i can use the nifty fifty on my new Sony A6000 i am

clueless at this stuff as new to the game

ha thank you

There's a Sigma adaptor MC-11 that's known to work well.

For the cost just buy Sony compatible lens

Possibly because this is a favourite lens, and the cheapest decent '50' for Sony is the Zeiss 55 f1.8 - the budget Sony 50 f1.8 has useless AF. I bought one to try, and even at £135 I sent it back to Amazon as not worth it.

No idea what the Sony cost; but why not buy a Canon mirrorless.
Note 5 yrs ago I probably wouldn’t have asked, but now it’s the obvious solution for a canon user surely

never used sony one but your description certainly fits the canon 50 1.8 like a glove. Besides that there are now like 20 other brands making affordable E mount 50mm

TBH I'm surprised about the Canon job. The Sony version is significantly worse than the original Samyang 50 f1.4 that I still own, and much worse than a 1980s Minolta 50 f1.7 on either an old Alpha SLT series camera or mounted on the LA-EA4 minolta-sony adapter.
