Pentax takumar lenses are VG, but the problem now is:- that film uses are competing with the digital guys, so that puts the price up and also for any other screw m42 lenses.

Well it does put the price up slightly, but you can still get the Taks - 55 1.8, 55 2, 135 3.5, 200 4 for under £30 in good condition, hardly expensive.

The M42 primes are still reasonably cheap - the real scores tend to be when people sell a terrible camera body with the glass you want attached to it, which can often work out cheaper than just buying the lend by itself!

Yep, search for Zenit(h) and you can pick up a decent Helios. Not as sharps as a Tak but bloody good :)
The 135mm is particularly enticing !

There's usually a decent bargain to be had doing that - I picked up the "glow in the dark" Industar 61 L/D lens for my Fed3b with one of those big heavy russian thread caps attached ;) (I think it was called a Fed5 before the shutter material tore and the winding mechanism went off like a fragmentation grenade!) Postage cost more than the camera iirc

I believe this camera was originally available with either the Pentacon 50mm f1.8 or the Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm f2.8, both available at good prices on evil bay, so if you what to try the body as it was sold try one of these.
