NSFW Lens repairs

My Canon 24-105 F4 L is playing up and goes into error 1 when I zoom. There are a couple of lens repair services on Ebay UK that will fix it for around the £60 mark. Has anyone used any of them ? Anything to report ?

It's a common fault on that lens but I can't recommend any non-Canon-approved repairers.

Try Canon at Elstree they may have a fixed price repair for this, excellent service from them.

Ahh, new to this forum, it seemed to put itself there and I didn't know what it meant.

I thought it meant Not Safe For Wimmin , ie, too technical.

Ok, they were one of the two I had in mind but I was bothered by the fact that his feedback, though 100% did not include anything about the lens repairs.
I take it you had no problems ?
