Anyone know of a current bargain on a Lens pen? Are they worth getting anyway, rather than a blower?

Not worth getting instead of a blower but certainly worth getting as well as a blower. I've always got mine from 7dayshop - LensPens and their triangular cousins SensorKlears.

Blowers remove the dust & lenspens help withthe finger/rain marks. In the past I've got mine from 7dayshop as well :)

I got mine from UKOptics.

But 7dayshop are cheaper.

7DayShop used to do 2 for 3 deals, but not seen any there for a while.

There's no need to use a blower on the pen. You give the cap a half/full twist before and after use depending on how bad the lens is.

I use the brush on the lens pen to get rid of dust, use the LenPen 'nib' and then brush again.

Are you sure ?? For me it's "better safe than sorry"..you never know if you've picked up any small particles etc either inside the cap or on the pen itself, I always give the pen surface a blast just as a precaution, certainly can't do any harm

No I agree, sorry I had a 'bit' of a debate on another forum and I'm still in attack mode I think. :(

Like you say, best to err on the side of caution, but I've personally never felt the need too. With a LensPen or a SensorKlear.
