Hi guys I'm an amateur photographer, I've been photographing with my Sony a6000 since November with a 3.5-5.6/18-55mm lens.
Could somebody please advise me on the names of lenses that I can buy for this camera, and what they do exactly?
The person I bought this camera from had a lens attached to it (I can't remember it's name) but it was very weird, it was too zoomed-in. I zoomed all the way out on it but the subject I was pointing the camera at was still excessively zoomed into, I had to replace that lens with the one I have now.
I'd really like a "fish-eye" lens but I know that's not an actual name for one, so when I search for that it never brings up any results.
Any advise/tips would really help.

Thanks.

What sort of things are you wanting to shoot?

The 18-55 is a general purpose lens, suitable for anything from landscapes to individual portraits (but built to a tight budget, so not great in terms of quality).

A 'fish-eye' will give a very wide view, but with associated distortion - it's not hte sort of lens you woudl tend to use that often.

The most common option for a second lens for the A6000 would be either the 55-210 zoom (allowing you to get shots of much more distant objects), or a 'fast' lens - IE one with a larger maximum aperture (such as the SEL 50 f/1.8) for either better ability in low light, or for subject isolation using shallow depth of field (IE Out of focus backgrounds).
