does the lens need recalibrating? first of all the setup used
Nikon D810 -wired remote trigger to stop any movement -tabletop tripod and a Spyderlenscal target just under 4 ft away both Nikon lenses at 50mm. Only difference is f1.4 prime against f2.8 tele afs 24-70mm
Camera in A priority
First photo using prime lens looks spot on, and second telephoto and it looks as if it has front focus issue. Now using fine tune (tele lens) this doesn't alter either as + or minus 20 on he D819 scale. Looking at target scale end @number 6
Question is should i consider getting it (tele photo) recalibrated? Any help gratefully received
Ok photos need enlarging to really see, but take it from me it is quite a difference in the flesh so to speak. or am i being over fussy?
Same result on the Nikon d800 to a lesser degree
