Hi I just today got my lens back from Premier Elecronic Services of Sheffield and it's as new again.
My old Nikon 80-200 2.8 had a small "2mm" spot of fungus on the inside of one of the front elements. this did not affect the superb quality of this lens at all but I was warned that it could spread and had probably eaten away the blooming anyway. So off it went to Premier.
I have use Premier before for the repair of mechanical film cameras and always found them fair and reasonably priced. Of course as their title they also fix elecrtonics in camcorders etc.
I cannot speak too highly of them and would recommend anyone in that area with a problem to give them a try.
I must add that I am nothing to do with this company except to keep giving them money.
