Lens Case for Nikon 70-300mm VR?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a protective lens case that will fit the Nikon 70-300mm VR with it's lens hood inverted? I have looked at some of the Lowepro, Tamrac and Hama offerings but I want the best possible snug fit and wondered if anyone actually has anything which does the job? Cheers!
 
Lowepro Street n Field size #4 - will take it with the hood still on!
 
I have the S & F 5 which I use for my 70-200 with 1.4 converter fitted. Its not for sale but thought I would let you know about sizes. The hood has to be inverted for it to fit properly. It has a shoulder strap and a belt attachment.
You also might want to look at the Lowepro Flipside 200, I use this with my 300 f4 with camera attached. Two shoulder straps like a mini rucksack.

I should have said, the S&F #4 will fit the 70-200 VR with the hood inverted or the 300 f4 with the hood retracted. Not big enough to take either with a TC on as well.

I used to use the same bag for the Canon 70-300 IS (which is the same size as your Nikon 70-300VR) and it will fit without inverting the hood.

Attach a shoulder strap and it makes for a really handy way to go light with two lenses at the track :D
 
I bought this lowepro lens case for my 70-300 VR. Its a nice snug fit with hood reversed. ffordes are very good for lowepro gear in there used section its mostly new just classed as clearence but they haven't got a 2s at the moment. I also bought the S&F deluxe belt, its great for quick easy lens changes, there's are view of the standard one here on TP
